Getting Your Meds Without the Pharmacy Runaround

You know the routine. You leave an appointment with a prescription, drive across town, wait in line, and sometimes find out it isn’t ready or costs more than you expected.

We wanted to cut out some of that. Cove now dispenses many common medications on-site for members. They come unit-of-use, already counted and packaged, so you can take them home from your visit instead of making a separate pharmacy trip.

Here’s how it works:

• Medications are an additional charge. They aren’t covered by your monthly membership fee.
• You’ll know the cost before you take anything home.
• The cost goes on your next monthly bill. Nothing is charged at the visit.
• If we don’t stock what you need, we’ll help you find the lowest-cost option somewhere else.

For example, a 90-day supply of losartan 50 mg runs about $8 for members, and atorvastatin 20 mg about $7.50. That’s our cost plus a $4 handling fee, with no markup.

That’s less than the average copay for just one fill of a first-tier (usually generic) drug in employer health plans ($12, according to KFF’s 2025 survey).

That’s it. Fewer stops, no surprise price at the counter, and one less thing to juggle when you’re not feeling great.
